Dan Zlotnick - “The Americana Voice of Westchester [County, NY]”

Dan Zlotnick has been called the “Americana voice of Westchester County, NY” because his joyous and warm energy enables him to connect with music fans in any setting. After a three-year independent minor league baseball career, Dan dove deep into writing and performing original music. A child of classic rock radio who dug deep into folk music in college, Dan half-jokingly claims that Jimmy Page taught him guitar and John Prine taught him lyric-writing. His dedication to the music he loves has allowed him to develop a unique Americana sound that pulls from all of his influences throughout his set. One fan compared Dan’s shows to a hearty five-course meal in which all the different flavors come together to tell a cohesive story. Dan has performed in living rooms, backyards, and small venues around the country as well as prestigious stages like Tarrytown Music Hall, Paramount Hudson Valley Theater, Daryl’s House Club, Garcia’s at The Capitol Theater, Pleasantville Music Festival, and Towne Crier Cafe. He has opened for artists including The Felice Brothers, Marc Cohn, Patty Larkin, Jim Avett, Jessica Lynn, Arlen Roth, and more. Whether it’s an unplugged solo acoustic house concert, full band rock show, or something in between, Dan Zlotnick’s passion for honest storytelling rings through the ears, hearts, and feet of anyone who decided to swing by the show.
